A service book that follows the car, not the owner.
VinBook is a digital vehicle service book tied to the VIN number — not to any one person. Service records, CEPiK data, photos and a permanent QR code, all in one place.
The problem we set out to solve
Buying or selling a used car has always involved a trust gap. Paper service books get lost, change hands in incomplete form, or simply disappear before the sale. There was no reliable, verifiable way for a buyer to see what had actually been done to a car — and no easy way for a seller to prove it.
VinBook exists to close that gap. A vehicle's service history should be as permanent as its VIN. It should travel with the car through every ownership change, be accessible instantly via a QR code, and be trusted because the entries come from verified sources.
One QR code. For the car's entire life.
Every vehicle in VinBook gets a single, permanent QR code linked to its VIN. That code never changes — not when the car is sold, not when it changes hands a second or third time. A new owner takes over the vehicle profile and the full verified history comes with it.
The QR stays. The owner can change.
Print the QR sticker once and attach it to your car. Every mechanic, every buyer, every new owner will scan the same code and see the same growing history — because it belongs to the car, not to you.
Who can add service entries
VinBook supports two types of workshop entries, with different levels of trust:
Mechanic via QR (no account)
Any mechanic can scan the QR code on the car and add a service record in under 30 seconds — no registration, no app download. The entry is timestamped and linked to the vehicle.
Verified workshop (with account)
Workshops that register and verify their business in VinBook get a verified badge. Their entries are marked as coming from a trusted source — which matters most when a buyer is evaluating the car's history.
Vehicle owners can also add their own entries — for maintenance done at home, parts replaced, or any other work not recorded by a workshop.
CEPiK integration — official inspection history
VinBook connects directly to the Polish government vehicle database (CEPiK / historiapojazdu.gov.pl). Once you add your registration number, VIN and first registration date, a single click imports your car's full official inspection history — every technical inspection, mileage reading and ownership event, going back years.
CEPiK records are imported as a separate, clearly labelled source in your vehicle's timeline. They cannot be edited by users, which makes them a reliable anchor for the car's documented history.
